Parking made easy: with the QUICKPARK parking aid from Mercedes-Benz. Ideal where space is limited. The system is automatically activated when reverse gear is engaged. It is based on ultrasonic technology: ultrasonic signals are bounced back off obstacles in their path, and the distance between the vehicle and any obstacle is indicated by an audible warning signal.
QUICKPARK effectively helps prevent damage when reversing into a parking space – something that can prove particularly costly if painted bumpers are involved. The trailer coupling is automatically recognised and taken into account when assessing distances. When a trailer is being towed, QUICKPARK is automatically deactivated. This function is controlled via CAN bus.
Key components of QUICKPARK: four distance sensors which can be painted, control unit with mounting, flexibly encased, vehicle-specific wiring harness, protected against spray and dirt, one buzzer and detailed instructions.
